July, 2022 – The GPM welcomes Mayor Andre Kapampa Kamwanya of Kasumbalesa (DRC) to the GPM. Mayor Kapampa has been appointed in 2019. The city of Kasumbalesa is located in the Haut-Katanga Province, a relatively new border city in the south of the Democratic Republic of the Congo that has been created in 2018. The town’s population is estimated at 500,000.
