Towards the end of October, Sadiq Khan, the first Muslim mayor of London, addressed an event hosted by the London Jewish Forum that commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Cable Street, a famous street protest in the British capital that saw an alliance of local Jewish residents, Irish dockworkers, trade unionists and other laborers and leftists thwart a planned fascist march.
