1 March 2023 – The GPM is proud to welcome Mayor Helena Teodósio of Cantanhede (Portugal) as newest member of the GPM.
Mayor Teodósio was elected President of the municipality of Cantanhede in 2017 and reelected to the position in the 2021 municipal elections. She is in charge of the departments of Strategic Planning and Economic Development, Management Finance, Planning and Public Procurement, Human Resources Management, Works Municipalities and Innovation and Administrative Modernization, among others.
She is also member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities, Chair of the Board of Directors of Biocant – Associação de Technology Transfer, Chair of the Supervisory Board of AD ELO – Associação de Bairrada and Mondego Local Development, Chair of the Fiscal Council of Ferreira Freire Foundation, Vice-President of the Board of Directors of CESAB – Center for Environmental Services, Vice-President of the Rota da Bairrada Association, Vice-President of the ASD – Social Democratic Mayors. At party level, she is a member of the Cantanhede’s political council commission of the Social Democratic Party.
Cantanhede is a municipality in the Coimbra District, in the Centro Region of Portugal. The municipality covers an area of 390 km² and has around 40,000 inhabitants.
