10 May 2023 – Due to the increasingly complex security situation ahead of the Liberian General and Presidential elections in October 2023, and due to the challenging travel arrangements to and from Monrovia around mid-September, the GPM Executive Committee has decided to postpone the in-person GPM Summit 2023 originally planned for September 16-18th. The new date and location for the in-person event have yet to be set. More information will follow soon.
On September 15th, 2023, mayors will be invited to participate in an online pre-Summit debate on “Empowering, Engaging, and Caring Cities: Delivering Democracy and Development with the Next Generations” organized by Monrovia and the GPM. The GPM appreciates the City Government of Monrovia´s commitment and efforts applied thus far in the preparation of the Summit.
