Inaugural Convening 2016
On September 9-11, 2016, mayors representing over 60 cities large and small, from north and south, developed and emerging, convened in The Hague to establish the governance legitimacy of the Global Parliament of Mayors and address an agenda of cross-border issues: migrants and refugees, environment and climate change, and cities as governance partners.
On the occasion of the Launch of the GPM the The Hague Declaration was signed by its founding members formalising the commitment of cities to an action-oriented platform in our interdependent world.
