22 March 2023 – The Kingdom of the Netherlands is co-hosting the European Regional Event of the 2023 Summit for Democracy. In addition to this Regional Event taking place on the first day of the summit, the Dutch government will also organize an event focused on the topic of “Media Freedom”, which will take place on March 30th, 2023, 15.00 – 17.00 CEST. This event will take the form of a multi-stakeholder talk-show with limited in-person participation, which will be livestreamed. Speaking at the event will be Mayor Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, City of Gdansk, Poland. Mayor Dulkiewicz will speak on behalf of the cities and local governments on the topic of media freedom.
