25 May 2023 – The GPM, together with Eurocities, will host a Networking Breakfast on “City Diplomacy in Times of Crisis” on Wednesday, 14 June 8.15-10 a.m. at the Brussels Urban Summit (12-15 June)
The event will include roundtable discussions for mayors on how cities are working together – bilaterally and within different city networks – in the face of multiple crises, to navigate the path towards climate neutrality and resilience, guarantee the right to housing, bridge the digital divide, foster post-pandemic recovery, and promote peace. The breakfast session will be opened by a panel of mayors, including Mayor Nardella of Florence and president of Eurocities, and GPM Mayor Veliaj of Tirana. Cathryn Clüver Ashbrook from the Bertelsmann Stiftung will moderate this session.
