Vyas, October 2018 – Mayor Neupane: “I expect the Global Parliaments of Mayors to be the best platform to share ideas and practices in the field of civic engagement, urban solutions, gender equality and climate change. From our GPM membership we expect new international relationship and global strategic partnerships that will contribute to the city development and non-profit work in Nepal. We hope the GPM encourages all mayors to unify local action on behalf of its citizens, to support urban social, political and economic issues. We want to create new city relations with fellow GPM members and exchange expertise on culture, urban infrastructure development, political and social developmental issues. Finally, the GPM can contribute to the promotion in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.”
