27 February, 2022 – The GPM wants to extend its warm welcome to Mayor Honoré Gabriel Rasamimanana of Antsirabe, Madagascar, as new member of the Global Parliament of Mayors. Mayor Rasamimanana is mayor of Antsirabe since 2020. From 2015 to 2019, he was Vice President of the municipal council of Antsirabe Commune and consular member of the Commerce and Industrial house of Vakinankaratra, and President of the Association « SAHY HO IZY » Vakinankaratra. The municipality of Antsirabe is the third largest city of Madagascar with 328,000 inhabitants. Antsirabe is a city known for its industrial activity and the location of the main factories of the country. The city has an abundant water resource and is well known as Water City with two rivers cross the entire area, thermal and mineral waters, and various lakes.
