Travel information to and from Braga around the GPM Annual Summit
Participants are advised to fly into OPorto International Airport.
The Municipality of Braga will organise a special service of Get Bus transfers that will connect Oporto’s airport and the Bus Terminal in Braga located in the centre of the city (map location).
Information on schedule and exact location for the pick up at the arrival terminal will be provided soon.
From Porto
Bus
There are regular bus services to major national and European destinations. The companies with the widest variety of destinations are Rede Nacional de Expressos, InterNorte, and Flixbus. All of them operate from the new Terminal Intermodal de Campanhã.
Train
Porto is served by two train stations – Campanhã and São Bento – and connected to Braga by an urban train service with multiple daily schedules. You can check the schedules for the urban train service here. For this option, the travel time is around 60 minutes. Tickets for the urban trains must be purchased directly at the box office of the aforementioned stations. Prices can be checked here.
High-speed trains (Alfa Pendular and Intercidades) are also available. You can check the schedules for this option on the interactive menu of the website. For these trains, online ticket purchase is possible.
Car
Porto and Braga are connected directly by a highway, A3. The trip between the two cities should take around 60 minutes (depending on traffic conditions). You can use Viamichelin website to plan the best route and evaluate costs.
The option to rent a car is always available. Several international companies operate on national territory and local options can also be found on the internet.
Some rental car options are Europe Car, Sixt, Budget, Avis or Hertz.
There are also private transfer rental companies that can be found and contacted through the internet. One of the available options is VMTransfers.
Taxi
From Porto airport and the city centre, you can find taxi options for a trip to Braga. Prices can vary between 65 and 85 euros (price should always be confirmed with the service provider). To schedule a taxi ride, you can contact Taxis do Porto at the following phone numbers: +351 918 888 600 and +351 220 997 336.
In Portugal, there are two mobile applications that allow the use of taxis and urban private transportation, namely Uber and Bolt. Both are available for download on the Apple Store and Google Play.

Plane
There are several daily flight connections between Lisbon (Portela Airport) and Porto (Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport). Companies like TAP or Ryanair operate connecting flights between these two Portuguese cities.
