Visa, Health & Security


Nationals of nearly every country in the world have to get a visa before they travel to Liberia, except those of the following countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo.

Additionally, diplomatic or service passport holders of the following countries do not require a visa for Liberia: China, Kuwait (diplomatic passport holders only), South Africa, Turkey (diplomatic passport holders only) and Vietnam. For more information on the different types of visa, click here.

The GPM and the city of Monrovia are currently working on attaining the possibility of a visa on arrival for the participants to the GPM Annual Summit 2023. More information will follow shortly.


A certificate of Yellow Fever vaccination will be required.


The Monrovia City Corporation has engaged a steering committee which includes all relevant security agents for GPM Annual Summit 2023.  For each aspect of the summit a risk management plan will be developed. Additionally, all venues will be evaluated by the relevant security agencies.
