2nd Annual Convening ‘A Governance Revolution Empowering Cities’ in Stavanger (Norway). Establishment of the formal GPM Association as a legal body. Presentation of the Executive Committee.

Dr. Benjamin Barber passed away. The Benjamin Barber Award was created in his memory for progressive Mayors that achieved outstanding results for their cities.

March 2017


2017/March: Mayor van Aartsen steps down as Mayor of The Hague and as Chair of the Steering Committee. Mayor de Lille is the new Chair, Mayor Kurz the new Vice Chair.
